Steelpans (steeldrums, pans; collectively with musicians are called steelband or steel orchestra) is a percussion musical instrument originating from Trinidad and Tobago.

The T & T Organettes Steel Orchestra was the impetus for establishing the T & T Organettes Social and Cultural Association in Calgary. Our musical band has been keeping the spirit of Trinidad and Tobago music alive in western Canada for over 25 years. The orchestra is under the masterful direction of musical arranger, Ozie George who continues to create sweet music. This small eight member stage band is overflowing with musical talents. Our well tuned steel pans (imported directly from Trinidad) sound just as sweet as any orchestra you will hear in Trinidad and Tobago.

The T & T Organettes Steel Orchestra rehearses weekly in the Clubhouse and visitors are welcome to sit down, sip a Carib beer and listen to the finest in Caribbean and western music.

The musical repertoire of the Steel Orchestra is quite extensive. We specialize in Caribbean music especially calypso and soca but we also play Latin, classical and other popular tunes.

The T & T Organettes Steel Orchestra continues to be a hot item here in Alberta and can be heard playing at festivals, parades and private functions all over the province.
